Broadster – new line of broadcast production switchers from “GURAMEX” company offering universal solution for most of the tasks of the broadcast market.

Each of the model from the given series has ergonomic compact design with intuitive understandable interface that makes operation easier and also provides high reliability during broadcasting.
At the same time a functional capability corresponds to its “large” and more expensive analogues, presented on market. Broadster maximally saves space and is the best solution as for various size studios as well for OB-Vans that suffer problems connected with lack of operation space.

Production switcher Broadster GVM-1610 consists of two parts:

- Main Unit GVM-2400H;

- Control Panel GVM-1610c.

It has unique features:

Operates as with digital as well with analogue signals. Using Auto Detection GVM1610 identifies type of incoming video signal, and frame synchronizers - built in each input - provide their synchronization.

ME Plus™ – ground breaking function, that doubles production abilities. With a simple push on a button you turn 1ME production switcher into 2ME device.

Picture in Picture function abilities are expanded in the new switcher. You are able to work with more number of windows for developing of combined image. In GVM1610 function allows overlay on output signal up to 5 scaled windows and display combinations without use of key channel!

Enhanced integrated 2 channel Multiviewer solution and built in wave form scope will be great help while keeping track of all signal sources production switcher operates with.

Since Broadster is a solution, corresponding to the broadcast market, first of all, Guramex took care of that it would operate stably without interruptions. Equipped with parts of the leading producers Broadster will operate 24/7 during many years.

	Inputs/Outputs

Broadster GVM-1610 is featured with up to 16 (up to 24) HD/SD-SDI inputs with autodetection and frame synchronizer. Modular architecture allows changing configuration according user priorities - one can choose 8,12 or 16 input assembling for GVM-1610. Dedicated Quad screen output is represented on each input module. Along with that, GVM-1610 has 8 free assignable HD/SD-SDI outputs.

	Auto Detection

Each input of Broadster GVM-1610 automatically indentifies the type of signal its dealing with without any additional settings or equipment.

	Frame Synchronizers

Production switcher is equipped with frame synchronizers at all inputs that allows mixing of any non-synchronous signals smoothly without interruptions, without use of additional external synchronization.

	Internal / External synchronization mode

Production switcher can operate in both external/internal synchronization mode. In external synchronization mode the generator is carried out from the input reference signal.

	ME Plus™

ME Plus™ – the newest development of Guramex – increases your production capabilities by creating additional ME, thus transforming Broadster GVM-1610 into production switcher with 2 ME possibilities and spirit!

Combined signal, created in ME Plus™ mode, can be used as an independent internal source in multi-line production. At the same time it can be delegated to auxiliary output and used as an independent program output of production switcher.

		Keyers

The switcher provides wide opportunities for keying :

4 independent Full-featured key channels
2 Full-featured DSK channels

Unique Chroma-key, Luma-key, External-Key and Preset Pattern are included in switcher basic configuration.

Moreover each of the scaled pictures from 5 channel PiP can be used as a key fill source.

For each KEY FILL source can be selected own keying method and matched background. Such solution gives you flexibility andallows quickly switch between the prepared KEY compositions.

		Picture in Picture

Outstanding for small production switcher Picture-in-Picture performance.

Create combined image with up to 5 scaled pictures and background with possibility of Dynamic Transition of combined images. The pictures can be moved, resized, repositioned, cropped and given colored border. PiP can be used as an additional source without occupying DVE and keying channels. At the same time, in case of need, each of scaled pictures can be used as fill source for keying.

Up to 16 state of PiP function can be saved and delegated to buttons of “One Touch Section”. Single push of button provides transition between PIP states with defined duration.

				Multi-Viewer and Quad Spilt outputs

Fully integrated, 2 channel internal solution for the multi-screen image is at your service.
Multi-Viewer allows you to display up to 12 video streams on a single screen in different modes.

The output signal has a resolution of 1920x1080 and is displayed via DVI/HDMI and HD-SDI outputs.

Each video stream has its own audiometer, UMD and plenty of other markers.
The source can be any external video signal, as well as master-channel, or any other internally formed signal.

Dedicated Quad Split (QS) output is represented on each input module.
All 4 inputs can be displayed on a single screen with UMD and Tally indication

			Integrated Waveform Analyzer

Due to built in waveform scope there is an opportunity to display parameters of any video signal source.

		Animated logotype Generator

Isolated, independent channel for displaying Animated Logotype. Supports most popular - AVI video format. Simply upload the picture and drag it into right place on the screen

		Internal Video Clip Storage

You may upload own designed graphic wipes, TV headband or background clips to the GVM-1610's Dual-channel nonvolatile video storage.
Each channel can store about 96 slides and clips with total duration up to 5 min (25frame/sec).

		Super Wipe

Along with standard cut, mix and wipe transitions you can enjoy with your own designed creative transitions, combined with graphic and audio. Up to 96 Super Wipe can be stored in the separate internal storage with total duration up to 5 min.

		Event Memory

Created to allow each user to save his frequently used switcher configuration, Event Memory memorizes up to 1000 states, of which 16 can be assigned to hot recall buttons in “One Touch Section”.

		Audio Processing

Audio Control for Inputs

Up to eight channels of audio may be extracted from each input HD/SD-SDI video signal.
For each input you can easily :
- select audio couple which will be used for further processing inside switcher.
- adjust audio level.

Audio Control for Outputs

Two audio buses are formed inside switcher and can be freely assigned to AUX outputs with audio level control.

Audio Outputs on CPU Module

Production switcher has Analog ( balanced stereo), digital (AES –EBU) and 2 x SDI outputs for audio tracking of graphic transitions ( SuperWipe). Can be assigned for different purposes.

		Macros Function

Allows to create editable user macros. Macro is a sequence of states and transitions that can be played automatically or step by step mode. Moreover through macros can be provided control via GPI.

		Robotic Camera Control

Robotic Camera Control provides possibility to control the broadcasting process independently, by changing studio cameras position in certain range.
Cameras are simply controlled and adjusted by joystick. Zooming is also provided.
Any adjustment can be stored in Broadster's memory and easily recalled by pushing single button.

		Universal Tally Indication

GVM-1610 provides flexibly assignable Tally indication.
Tally indication settings are made easily through the menu with an intuitive interface.
Also there are different modes of Tally indication displaying on Multiviwer.

		Software Control

Assistant Software Control allows you to control Main Unit and perform any necessary action directly from your PC.

		External Device Control

Switchers enable integrated control over various external devices like VTR, TSL, Servers, Routing Systems and UMD through LAN, RS422 and GPI interfaces.

GVM-1610 allows to choose the configuration (number and type of production switchers Input/Output Cards) that precisely suits customer needs without wasting money. Modular architecture with distributed processing is provided to guarantee survivability of the system.

All Input Cards are interchangeable with each other, the same is provided for the Output Cards. Failure of any card only leads to loss of function or a certain lack of comfort. Damage of any Input/Output Card will not cause the failure of the whole system.
